It comes with a trumpet machine protector made with synthetic material, to protect the instrument exactly where there is contact with the hands, in order to protect from the action of uric acid contained in sweat.

Contrary to what everyone thinks, the purpose of the mute is to modify the instrument's timbre, not "muffle the sound". The decrease in sound volume is a consequence of placing the mute on the instrument's bell, so in this mute you will have the effect:

Cone only - STRAIGHT- (direct)
Less volume, less projection, slightly higher timbre.

Cone with lid - CUP- (cup)
Less projection and echo effect in a glass.
As the Di Pardini mute has an adjustment in the distance of this front cover, placing it very close to the bell (depending on the trumpet model) you can even lean completely on the bell, muffling almost 90% of the sound projection (now you avoid the discomfort when neighbor)

Holding the lid with the central pin between the fingers of the left hand, facing the bell, an open and closed sound is obtained.
