The Knights of the Zodiac (Saint Seiya) series was originally created in manga by Masami Kurumada in 1986, and adapted into anime by Toei Animation between 1986 and 1989. The story shows five mystical warriors called the Knights (Saints in the original) who fight while wearing Sacred Armor (or Cloths), based on the various constellations that protect each of the warriors. The Knights have the mission to defend the reincarnation of the Greek goddess Athena in her battle against other gods of Olympus who intend to dominate the Earth. Mu is the 20th century Golden Knight of Aries, who protects the Aries House in the Sanctuary. Skilled in Armor Restoration, he is the one who repairs Seiya's and others' Bronze Armors before the Battle of the Twelve Houses of the Zodiac.
