Daughter of Padmé Amidala and Anakin Skywalker, sister of Luke Skywalker and with a weakness for scoundrels, Leia is among the biggest heroines in the galaxy.
Princess since childhood, Leia is Senator Bail Organa's adopted daughter and biological daughter of Anakin Skywalker (supervillain Darth Vader) and Padmé Amidala and sister of Luke Skywalker (hero of the 1977 film). Separated from an early age by Obi-Wan Kenobi, one of the few remaining "jedi" (medieval space knights).
In the 1977 movie, Read by Coincidence of Fate meets Luke, unknowingly being his brother. The two fight together to restore freedom in the galaxy and then discover the whole truth (following the 1983 "Return of the Jedi").
